Our Mechanic Talent

So I'm sure that most people would see a computer guy doing car mechanic work as being odd, but I must assure you all that I have that covered.

I will be working with a local hobbyist mechanic and a full-time professional mechanic that happens to be a manager at Christian Brothers.  Heads up Kyle and Bryan. ;)

If anyone in the Katy/Houston area would like to bring their mechanic and/or alternative fuel experience to us then please contact us.  noahfexpayton@gmail.com

Documentation of Project

As part of keeping up with the online video craze, we have decided to film/photograph the entire project in order to give people visual evidence of our progress.

If anyone in the Houston/Katy area would like to donate a digital video camera to this project that would be awesome.  We only have cell phone cameras, which will work for now.

Any suggestions? let me know... noahfexpayton@gmail.com

Project Start

Welcome to the Hybred Project blog. I have been wanting to do a project like this ever since 2004-05 http://blogcritics.org/scitech/article/taming-the-hybrid-revolution/.  We should have been using alternative energies for our transportation and logistics infrastructure over 50 years ago, but the oily people in power wanted to choke us with the black crude.  Please leave any comments, suggestions, and donate if you can.

Project: Conversions of gas/diesel vehicles to Solar/Hydrogen based systems.  Other types of energy via gyros and electromagnets are also possible.

Mission Objectives:
  • Convert at least one full-size gas/diesel pickup to a traditional fuel/hybrid system by the end of this summer 2011.
    • Eliminate all leaches - Air conditioner, radio, lights, etc.
    • Provide enough power back into the engine to offset a considerable amount of traditional fuel usage.
  • Convert at least one 4dr sedan to a traditional fuel/hybrid system by the end of this year 2011.
    • Perfect installation/mounting techniques for most common vehicles.
  • Open for conversions of other vehicles provided by the public by spring of 2012.
    • Tax incentive installations for the public.
We have many different blue-prints for hydrogen on-demand systems that must be tested and there will be specific systems that work best in specific vehicles, either based on the amount of room to install system and also the power required to supplement the engine power.

We already have one full-size gas pickup that will be used for our first project, and we will be acquiring more vehicles as the project matures.
